Mandi + Danny // Patience, Healing, Love

Mandi + Danny // Patience, Healing, Love

I previously met Mandi back when I was in high school. Having gone to a smaller school and attending the same youth group we had many mutual friends. At that rate we would consider friends like that more like family. Though I never met Danny prior to moving to Florida for 10 years, coming back this year and meeting him was as if I had known him that whole time.

During that time Mandi and Danny love grew stronger as they were put to the test of their lives. This video tells it all.

More on his story via Barnes-Jewish Hospital [http://annualreports.barnesjewish.org/stories/danny-strobbe/]

On the wedding day, there was a lot of emotion in the air and it was amazing to see all the love and support from their friends and family. The image on Barnes Jewish website tells it all, the photo of Mandi and Danny…Mandi clutching the arm of a miracle. Her strong faith, patience, and love can all be seen off 1st glance.

It's stories like these that makes me believe that love rules all, no matter the situation. I'm sure they were pushed to the limit and to see that Danny came out a surviver you can really see that he is stronger than ever. It was a complete honor to capture this day. We celebrate love with Mandi and Danny. Thanks you guys for being the example of how patience and love bring true healing.

Also, it was pleasure to be in a mini tornado with you guys post ceremony. It was definitely a first. Great times!! HAHA!

Emily + Jason

Emily + Jason

This wedding is very special for us. For one, this marks IB's first destination wedding, where we traveled to a far away land known as Dallas, Texas ;) We met Emily and Jason back in college but didn't know them as a couple. I was close to Jason, so Emily must have been THE girl he was always talking about. Years later, they are married!

Jason is very special to us, as a fellow Broadcast major, we worked on tons of productions together. I recall so many great moments of those random times in Bolin Studio lol! What is also great about Jason is that he was our wedding photographer back in March 2010. So it was only right for us to somehow be a part of his wedding. And what better reason to do so than with film.

This was just a recap of the full length 40min film that is exclusively for the Davis Family.

Emily + Jason, thank you guys so much for trusting us to capture and be a part of such an important day in your lives. May God continue to bless this union of 2 wonderful people. We are truly honored to call you friends!

Hugs, kisses, and high-fives!

Olga + Gabriel | A Perfect Day

Olga + Gabriel | A Perfect Day

OlgaGabe_Preview.gif

We took pride in forming part of Olga ("Kiki") & Gabe's journey towards marriage. Over just a few months, we got to know them and spent time capturing their journey that began with an engagement session. This was IB's first full covering from engagement to wedding day, and we truly enjoyed witnessing such special moments in their lives. I recall the time back in the day (but not waaay back) of my times getting to know Gabe, better known as Dunamis, back at the 88.3FM radio station in Miami where I used to occasionally DJ. But it wasn't until one of groomsman, Manuel "JBlaze", the founder and mastermind behind 88.3FM's radio show FNF Live, mentioned at their wedding reception how a certain lady used to faithfully visit the station on the nights Dunamis would co-host the show. I then started to remember and connect the dots on how their love story started…or at least some key moments that led to their wedding day. So again, we take great pride in having the honor of capturing their story through photos because we've become sort of like family...right? I mean, technically I WAS there as a witness on those radio nights :)

To the bride & groom:

This day overall was beyond beautiful! The love you two share, the love of your family and friends, but most of all the love of our God was clearly apparent on this day. Can't wait to see the great things God has in store for you guys. Kiki---your meekness shows your willingness to serve with humbleness and a kind-loving heart. Dunamis, your devotion shows dedication on how men should respond to the calling God has laid before us. We truly pray & desire nothing but His best for you!

So what better way to recap a wedding with photos + film? Enjoy friends!

Just a quick, hilarious moment that happened at the reception. Very wrong, but oooh so funny!

Had to share! We may have to steal this idea for our next couples :)

Yolianne + Armando l The Wedding

I know there will be a lot of my friends and family from Puerto Rico checking out this blog. So I will do everyone and myself a favor and reframe from wowing you all with my Spanish skills! Ha!

This marks IB's first destination wedding! Well, not really a destination wedding because it's really home for the bride and groom. But you catch my drift! This also marks IB's first Puerto Rican wedding! I have never seen family portraits taken during the actual ceremony, and I'll be honest, I was very nervous! Think about it. All eyes are on me, no 2nd shooter, and my Spanish..again, let's not go there. However, I have to say that I absolutely loved it! Much smoother than expected. Not one person felt rushed at any moment, even though I'm sure that there were many rumbling stomachs. But now that I have gone through the whole experience I can confess that my nervous assumptions were 100% wrong! From now on I may actually recommend that everyone take the family portraits during the ceremony.

For Yolianne & Armando, we held off on premiering their love story film until the wedding reception. It was shot during their engagement session we did a few months ago. And actually Armando's part of the interview was shot upon our arrival to PR the weekend of the wedding. Ileana nailed the NDE (next day edit).  Yes, Ileana did all the editing because her Spanish is way better than mine for obvious reasons. Oh yea -- DISCLAIMER -- the film is in Spanish. But Spanish is 90% hand movement so you will catch on ;)

Enjoy the film followed by some photos of their wedding day!

Congratulations Yolianne and Armando!! We love you both and wish you a life of happiness!

Photos + Video - Andres' 1st | Cowboys, Cowgirls, and Cake

In late November we had the opportunity to spend the afternoon with a couple of our good friends to celebrate Andres. This first birthday had a cowboy/on the farm theme and was complete with pony rides, barns, and farm animals. A really great day for a outdoor party, though a bit on the windy side, as we all noticed during the lighting of the candles lol! One of the main activities, and even a party favor, was of their own creations. Frames were constructed and bags were colored by the guest own hands. As for our hands, I did the filming while Ileana setup shop for photo area where the kids received their 4x6 photo of themselves before they left (shout-out to CVS-lol).

A great celebration that we hopefully captured through photo and video.
