This is My Body - Opera

So it was my 1st time doing work in the opera space and who knew that hip hop influence would be part of that! Last month I had the opportunity to take part in producing/directing a scene for a libretto created by Nicole Paris, Katherine Skovira and Robert Whalen. It’s 30-minute opera, a response piece to Vinko Globokar's solo piece ?Corporel (2002), which asks the performer to use their body as an instrument, vocalizing and hitting the floor and parts of the body/face. I had a lot of fun filming and putting this together with an amazing group of people! This project was also featured in resent OPERA America forum
